Chapter 8.1 - Samples
A population is an entire group. A sample is section of a whole group.
A sample can be used to get data from part of a group and use it to give information about the whole group.

Three kinds of sample we will discuss are:
1. representative sample - accurately reflects the group
2. random sample - every person/item has an equal chance of being chosen
3. biased sample - some people/items are more likely to be chosen than others
