Chapter 7.2 - Triangles & Trapezoids

Types of Triangles

Equilateral Triangles - all three sides are congruent (3 angles will be congruent, too)

Isosceles Triangles - at least two sides are congruent (2 angles will be congruent, too)

Scalene Triangles - no congruent sides (no angles will be congruent, either)

 

Acute Triangles - all three angles are acute (less than 90 degrees)

Right Triangles - one right angle (90 degrees)

Obtuse Triangles - one obtuse angle (more than 90 degrees)

Find the area of a trapezoid is just as easy... just use the formula.

(The parallel sides are always the bases.
