Chapter 3 Project
Congratulations! You made it through Chapter 3!
You have five options for the chapter 3 project.
Option A (individual):
Create a time line of your life. Get a strip of "time line" paper from Mr. Roth. Using colored pencils or markers, create a timeline of the most important dates of your past and projected life. Zero will represent today. The dates before will be represented as negative numbers. For example, something that happend 5 years ago would appear on the number line at -5. Events on the positive side of the number line would be events of the future. You would need one event at zero, and a minimum of 5 negative number events, and 5 positive number events. Pictures/drawings should accompany at least 50% of the events.
Option B (individual or group):
Create a 5-10 frame graphic story (comic strip). Create a super hero that uses integers or rational numbers to solve a crisis. Your graphic story should include pictures and text and should be colorful. The story should make sense and accurately demonstrate your knowledge of integers or rational numbers.
Option C (individual or group):
Music and poetry often help people remember concepts. Complete one of the following:
- Write lyrics or a poem that helps you remember concepts from this chapter.
(individual project)
- Write lyrics & record a song/rap that helps you remember concepts from this chapter.
- Write lyrics and record a video that helps you remember a conept from this chapter.
Option D (individual):
Work toward your MAP goal. Ask me about this project.
Option E (individual or group):
As always, you can create your own project. It needs to encorporate integers or properties of math. Talk to me about it before you start.
